Caleta Privacy Policy
Version v1.1 · August 26, 2026
Your photos are yours. Caleta applies its colors on your iPhone, without creating an account. CÓDIGO 19 LLC, in Puerto Rico, operates the app. This policy describes the current version and distinguishes what Caleta does from the Apple services you may use with it.
1. Your data, in the app
The Caleta roll keeps original photos, thumbnails and your editing choices in the app's local storage. It also keeps favorites, dates, available camera details and, when available, the place name. App settings are stored on the device. Caleta also keeps editing drafts and temporary files to prepare what you share.
Originals are kept without changing their bytes. If you import an image that already contains metadata, such as a date or GPS coordinates, that data remains inside its original file. Caleta does not remove it when saving the file.
2. What we do not do
CÓDIGO 19 LLC does not receive photos, location or usage activity from Caleta. We have no user accounts, app servers, analytics, advertising or third-party tools to track you. Caleta integrates only its own code and Apple components. We do not sell data or build profiles of people who use Caleta. Capture, editing and card creation are processed on the device.
The planned App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected,” under Apple's definition of collection. This does not mean your iPhone never connects to the internet: the Apple services and actions you choose are explained below. How Apple defines data collection.
3. The permissions you choose
- Camera: to show the preview and take photos. Without this permission, you cannot take photos with Caleta.
- Photos, add only: to save a card or processed photo when you ask. This permission does not allow access to your entire photo library.
- Import: if you use this feature, Apple's photo picker gives Caleta the image you select, without granting general access to your photo library. Apple may download it from iCloud if the original is stored there.
- Location while using the app: to add a place name to your photos. It is optional; you can take photos without allowing it.
You can review or withdraw camera, add-to-Photos and location permissions in iPhone Settings. Withdrawing them does not delete photos or place names you have already saved. When importing, you choose one image at a time; you do not grant general read access.
4. The place name
With your permission, Caleta receives a location and uses Apple's geocoder to turn it into text, such as “Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.” That service uses the network and may send the location to Apple. It is not sent to CÓDIGO 19 LLC. See Apple's Location Services & Privacy.
Caleta temporarily keeps that location in memory to avoid repeated requests. It does not write those coordinates to its database or add them to originals: it saves only the place name. This does not remove GPS data that may already be inside an imported image, as section 1 explains.
5. Purchases, saving, sharing and contacting us
Caleta+ purchases are handled through the App Store. Apple handles payment; Caleta does not receive your card details. The app uses verified transactions and purchase status provided by StoreKit, Apple's system, to unlock and restore Pro. It does not send them to a CÓDIGO 19 LLC server.
Photos are not uploaded to a Caleta service. When you save to Photos or use Share, you choose to create a copy outside the app or send it to another app or person. Check the card before sharing: any visible place, date and camera details become part of the image.
Copies in Photos may sync with iCloud Photos or be included in backups, depending on your Apple settings. The destinations you choose when sharing have their own terms. Caleta cannot delete those copies for you.
If you choose to email us, you send us your address and the message contents through your email app. This is not an automatic transmission by Caleta. Share only what you want us to receive.
6. Deleting and keeping photos
When you delete a photo from the roll, Caleta deletes its record, original and thumbnail. If file removal fails, the app tells you and files may remain in its local storage. There is no trash or recovery within Caleta.
Choosing “Delete App” in iOS deletes its local storage. Removing only the icon or offloading the app while keeping its data is different. Deleting Caleta does not delete copies you saved in Photos, sent or kept in other services.
Caleta does not offer syncing or its own cloud backup. The roll's folder is marked for exclusion from system backups. Other data, such as app preferences, and copies outside Caleta may depend on your backup settings. Save any photos you want to keep outside the app before deleting it; we cannot restore your roll.
7. Children
Caleta is not directed at children under 13. The app does not ask for a date of birth or build profiles based on age.
8. Changes
If data handling changes, we will update this policy, its date and its version. You can read the document included with your version of Caleta in Settings. Prices and purchase terms are shown before you confirm with Apple.
